ORR. The 2014 Hall of Fame banquet and induction ceremonies will be held at ORRHS on Saturday, June 21 at 5:00 pm, and the annual ORRAHOF golf tournament will take place the following day, Sunday, June 22 at the Back Nine Golf Club in Lakeville. Marion Natural History Museum492 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's after-school group enjoyed working on crafts made from natural and recycled materials last Wednesday. This was the last after-school program for 2015, and the students had a chance to have some fun decorating as well as enjoying snacks and slides of the past year's programs. Rabies Check492 viewsDavid Smith of the Rochester Land Trust recently accompanied Randy Mickley, a USDA Wildlife disease biologist, as he checked live mammal traps set in Marion and Rochester as part of the Cape Cod Oral Rabies Program. The goal is to establish a vaccine barrier in Plymouth County to prevent reintroduction of rabies to Cape Cod. Two raccoons were caught in Rochester and three in Marion.

Family Fun Festival 492 viewsThe Mattapoisett Lions Club held its first Family Fun Festival at Shipyard Park on Saturday, October 29, featuring some good old-fashioned fun and games. Over 400 people turned out for the event, which included hayrides through the village, a pumpkin patch, and games such as pin the nose on the pumpkin and the corn hole toss. Photos by Jean Perry
