The students explored Meadow Island and enjoyed some of the local attractions of our harbor from the water. Firefighters Memorial 472 viewsEight firefighters – four from Rochester – followed bagpiper Iain Massie to the Firefighters Memorial the morning of 8/24 to begin the inaugural four-day, 316-mile long Southern New England Brotherhood Ride, organized by Rochester Firefighter Andy Weigel. Marion Town Party472 viewsChalk up another successful Marion Town Party as several hundred party-goers found good food and fun on the grounds of the Town House on 8/25. Children of all ages enjoyed inflatable games, climbing the rock wall, or jumping around to music. The annual party has its roots deep in the community and may have started as early at 1900. This year’s event featured live entertainment, a scavenger hunt, and lots of good food.

Trunk or Treat472 viewsRMS held a ‘Trunk or Treat’ event on Saturday, October 20, with hundreds turning out for the fun and free candy. Rochester Boy Scout Troop 31472 viewsRochester Boy Scout Troop 31 kicked off the month of March with an impressive Court of Honor held at the Grange Hall on Monday, March 4. Scoutmaster Kevin Thompson presided over the ceremony as he proudly awarded his Scouts with 15 rank advancements and 28 merit badges. The troop's current scout rank advancements set a new record that included four new Life Scouts currently working simultaneously as Eagle Scout Candidates on their community service projects.
