ORR Hockey505 viewsOn Saturday, January 19, the Old Rochester Regional Varsity Ice Hockey Team ventured to the John Gallo Ice Arena in Bourne to face off against the Wareham Vikings. Members of the ORR team check out the scoreboard, which was quite active all night. The official score for the game was 12-2 in ORR’s favor, however, the scoreboard stopped keeping score at 8-2 due to the landslide victory. Veterans Day Ceremony in Mattapoiset505 viewsOn November 11 following the Veterans Day Ceremony at Old Hammondtown School in Mattapoisett, members of Boy Scout Troop 53 performed a flag decommissioning ceremony at the Mattapoisett Land Trust’s Dunseith Gardens. Flags had been placed in decommissioning boxes built by Drew Robert for his Eagle project. The flags were then collected from the boxes located at the police department, town hall and public library and prepared for burning and burial.
