This year director Karen Della Cioppa has brought to the stage our favorite “the professor of facts,” Sherlock Holmes, and his assistant, Dr. John Watson, starring Ambrose Cole as Holmes and Nolan Bushnell as Watson. Rochester turned 340 451 viewsHey, hey, it’s your birthday, Rochester! Rochester turned 340 years old on June 4, and the third grade class from RMS was invited to celebrate with some cake and ice cream at the senior center on Tuesday. Students started the day with a tour around historic Rochester before breaking for lunch and sharing a large birthday cake with seniors. Students also received a free “Rochester 340” t-shirt, courtesy of a grant that funded the students’ birthday gifts. Photos by Jean Perry

Distributive Education Clubs of America451 viewsOld Rochester is proud to welcome DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) to its plethora of extracurricular activities. DECA is a program dedicated to preparing young students for the real world. Specifically, it focuses on a wide variety of business subjects, from management to accounting to tourism. There is something for everyone to do in DECA, and there is something for everyone to get out of DECA. There are over 250,000 members nationwide, and a striking 50 students at Old Rochester.

High Winds and Waves451 viewsOn February 7, rain and high winds hit Southeastern Massachusetts, resulting in thousands of electrical outages. The hardest hit in the Tri-Town area was Rochester with more than 500 Eversource customers reporting wires down and service interruptions from mid-afternoon into the night.
