3rd Annual Bulldog Dash557 viewsAlmost 200 runners and walkers braved the autumn wind chill to turn out for the third annual ORR Bulldog Dash on Saturday, November 24. The dash was held to raise funds for the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the athletic department as well as to purchase equipment for the Cross Country teams. Marion Art Center Show557 viewsThe Marion Art Center unveiled its new show in a special opening reception at the gallery on Friday, January 11. The 2013 Winter Members Exhibition features over 60 works by about 30 local artists, some well-known and some new to the local art scene. This is the first of two bi-annual shows that showcase work by members of MAC, from oil paintings to multi-media. Check out some of the great art work being created by Tri-Town artists. appointed Elisabeth “Libby” O’Neil as the new Head Librarian at the
Elizabeth Taber Library in Marion. She will take the place of Judith
Kleven who is retiring May 31 after 26 years.
Before accepting this job, O’Neil was the Youth and Community Outreach
Librarian for the Boston Public Library at Copley Square, Boston and was
the former Children’s Librarian at the South Boston Branch of the Boston
Public Library. Ms. O’Neil will start on June 3, 2013

Firefighters Memorial 557 viewsEight firefighters – four from Rochester – followed bagpiper Iain Massie to the Firefighters Memorial the morning of 8/24 to begin the inaugural four-day, 316-mile long Southern New England Brotherhood Ride, organized by Rochester Firefighter Andy Weigel.
