Marion Holiday Stroll499 viewsThe Marion village streets were filled with holiday revelers on Sunday, December 9, for the annual Marion Holiday Stroll. Santa’s boat docked at the Marion Wharf where the faces of hundreds of children lit up at his arrival. Santa boarded a horse-drawn carriage and paraded through the streets, passing businesses offering free goodies and dodging the whereabouts of that old Grinch who didn’t seem to mind Christmas coming at all this year. Murphy the dog499 viewsFirefighters in Rochester rescued Murphy the dog from the icy waters off of Sarah Sherman Road after straying from his family and falling through the thin ice on December 20. Firefighter Jeff Eldridge mounted an ice sled and headed 300 feet across the frozen pond to reach Murphy. The two were then pulled to land and Murphy was promptly taken to the ambulance. Students, faculty, and staff, since June of 2018, have been able to enjoy a large-scale mural, painted by accomplished muralist and tattoo artist, Todd Woodward.
