Murphy the dog500 viewsFirefighters in Rochester rescued Murphy the dog from the icy waters off of Sarah Sherman Road after straying from his family and falling through the thin ice on December 20. Firefighter Jeff Eldridge mounted an ice sled and headed 300 feet across the frozen pond to reach Murphy. The two were then pulled to land and Murphy was promptly taken to the ambulance. DECA is a program dedicated to preparing young students for the real world. Specifically, it focuses on a wide variety of business subjects, from management to accounting to tourism. There is something for everyone to do in DECA, and there is something for everyone to get out of DECA. There are over 250,000 members nationwide, and a striking 50 students at Old Rochester.
