The young athletes took part in the traditional Opening Day parade, which began at Dexter Park and concluded at Dexter Field. We tried out some of the equipment and discussed working conditions. We learned about the three different types of rocks – sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic, and how they form, and inspected various rocks and minerals and fossils presenter Jim Pierson has collected over the years.
