Tonto506 viewsThat’s not the latest economy ‘compact’ car model you saw last Friday afternoon in Mattapoisett. It was ‘Tonto,’ the miniature horse who was visiting town for a ‘wee’ while taking his human out for a ‘small’ stroll along Ned’s Point Road. Photo by Marilou Newell

Knit OR Crochet Club’506 viewsIn May of 2018 during a Bulldog Block in Señora Carreira's Spanish classroom, Lily Govoni, Class of 2019 at Old Rochester Regional High School, expressed her desire to create a knitting club to teach other students how to knit. Lily is a very kind and talented student, and Señora Carreira did not hesitate to say, "Let's do it!" The idea was to have a group of students share patterns and spend time in a calming activity to help reduce the stress that many students experience in high school.

Polar Plunge506 viewsRochester Troop 31 braved the frigid waters this Patriot's Day, not to seek freedom, but to seek scout camp. For the last week, the scouts have been asking people to sponsor them in their Polar Plunge fundraiser in exchange for hitting the brisk waters of Silvershell Beach in Marion. Photos by Michelle Wood

Marion Natural History Museum506 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's after school program had fun with insects, like the Madagascar cockroach and the "toe-biter," AKA giant water bug. Outside, we took a closer look at some of the insects we can find in our neighborhoods. Many thanks to Blake Dinius of the Plymouth County Extension Service and the student volunteers from Tabor Academy and ORR. Photos courtesy Elizabeth Leidold
