Family Fun Festival 668 viewsFamilies came out in record numbers to enjoy the 4th Annual Fall Free Family Fun Festival sponsored by the Mattapoisett’s Lion Club on October 19 held at Shipyard Park. Bruce Rocha of the club estimated attendance at over 400. Kids and adults alike enjoyed free face painting, bowling with pumpkins, a corn hole toss, snacks, hayrides to Ned’s Point and, yes, free pumpkins to take home. Magic Memories667 viewsThe Showstoppers, the popular Mattapoisett-based singing troupe, just returned from a trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL, where they performed at the theme park as part of Disneys Magic Music Days on August 5. The group performed at the Galaxy Palace Theater located in Tomorrowland inside Disneys Magic Kingdom.
