Camp Massasoit offers programs for children of all ages starting with their Scamper Camp program aimed at preschool aged children, 4 to 5 years of age, up to their Counselor-In-Training program for teenagers, 15 to 16 years of age. Senior Spring Fling550 viewsSeniors from Mattapoisett, Marion and Rochester participated in the eighth annual “Spring Fling” dance party on Sunday, May 6 in the Sippican School cafeteria. The event was hosted by the Marion Council on Aging (COA) with a group of student volunteers from Old Rochester Regional Junior High School, who not only helped serve refreshments, but also joined their elders on the dance floor for some contemporary and traditional dances. Judo Champ550 viewsAlyssa Quaintance of Rochester took first place in the 5- to 6-year-old division at Pedro's Judo Challenge held on February 23 in Wakefield, MA and first place again at the Ocean State International in RI on March 1. These were both high level tournaments with international players. Alyssa went 3-0 in both tournaments. Bikes, Bikes, Bikes!550 viewsThe Third Annual Pan Mass Challenge Kids Tri-Town Ride attracted several hundred young bicyclist to the ORR campus on Saturday morning, May 16, for a bike rally to help defeat cancer. Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research.
