She won’t be returning to the Tri-Town, though, after wintering for months in the Mexican mountains with the millions of other monarchs. Instead, she will make her way back up north, but only as far as Texas, where she will find some local milkweed.

In addition to great music, the event featured the Inn’s shepherd’s pie, corned beef, beer, wine, and ale. Scouts Honored591 viewsTechnical Sergeant Christopher Qubeck from the Air National Guard, Otis AFB recently presented Boy Scout Troop 53 of Mattapoisett with a flag flown on a combat mission over Iraq, along with a commendation from the US Air Force for their work in sending care packages to soldiers overseas during the past couple of years. Technical Sergeant Qubeck presented the flag and certificate to Mattapoisett Scoutmaster Ron Ellis and Senior Patrol Leader Bryan Buckley at the opening ceremony for MassJam 2008.
