Mattapoisett Land Trust 604 viewsThe Mattapoisett Land Trust received confirmation of a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Grant for Pine Island Watershed. The state fund awarded to MLT, $960,000, will go towards the acquisition of over 100 acres of prime woodlands, wetlands, and wildlife habitat from private owners while protecting the significant acreage from future development. SLT Oyster Fest 604 viewsThe Sippican Lands Trust’s Beer and Oyster Fest fundraiser was a hit despite the threat of approaching Hurricane Dorian, which was replaced with blue skies just in time, and holding the event earlier in the day mitigated the guests’ exposure to EEE-carrying mosquitos. ‘Into Orbit’ Space Club604 views‘Into Orbit’ Space Club is currently running for the second year in a row. Students in grades 5 and 6 spend 12 weeks learning about robotics and coding, using First Lego League curriculum and EV3 robots, as well as participating in space-themed STEM challenges.
