Town Meeting89 viewsBoth Marion and Mattapoisett held their Annual Town Meetings on Monday. Residents participated in the direct democracy votes on various articles in a longstanding continuation of the practice from colonial times. Of the many articles voted upon, in Marion all were passed except Article 43, the Citizen’s Petition which was passed over to fall and in Mattapoisett all were passed except Article 27 which was voted against. These little critters are ectothermic, and their body temperature is determined by their surrounding environment. Some are quite speedy and the Tiger beetle can run so fast they can’t see anything. We had a chance to go out and do some netting for bugs as well as looking under rocks, checking in bark and the bushes, and found an interesting variety.
