The planting of the bulbs in an area behind of the school, was the culmination of a science lesson on the structure and function of a bulb as well as the environmental factors necessary for its growth and flower production. The 5K began at Shipyard Park and cut down Ned’s Point Road to the point, around the lighthouse and back. The Grinch led the pack on his bike, and residents stood by to cheer on all the runners. We looked at many different salt types and an amazing range of colors depending on the geology of the area where they were collected.
