Woodland Walk for Mushrooms175 viewsMarion Natural History Museum hosted mycologist Adam Korejwa on September 13. Korejwa conducted a Woodland Walk for Mushrooms event at Shoolman Preserve in Rochester. Bolete, russula, honey, ghost pipe, and cauliflower mushrooms were all spotted, along with countless others. Mattapoisett Manatee173 viewsOn the morning of July 29, Erin Carr and five friends were on their morning run on the Mattapoisett Rail Trail when they stumbled upon a man (and dog) who directed them to a beached manatee. The gang got in touch with the Harbormaster and Mattapoisett Police, but before wildlife experts would arrive on the scene, the tide rose, and the manatee ventured back to sea. Marion Village Christmas Stroll173 viewsThe Marion Village Christmas Stroll was this past cold and snowy Sunday. Santa and Ms. Clause arrived by their usual boat, though the cold and the wind sure made it look difficult to dock. Excited kids hurled snowballs all around (and at each other) as they waited for St. Nick. Photo by Sam Bishop
