Tickets were sold out and the venue was filled up. Oysters were served alongside beer and whatever food the over 20 different tables decided to bring. Rochester Rodeo192 viewsThe second of the bi-weekly rodeo was held at the Rochester Fair Grounds this past Saturday by New England Rodeo. Present were over 20 professional bull riders from New England, Latin America, and Brazil. There were also professional barrel riders and mounted shooters. There were some young cowboys and cowgirls who also gave it their best to stay on a bucking pony. Woodland Walk for Mushrooms192 viewsMarion Natural History Museum hosted mycologist Adam Korejwa on September 13. Korejwa conducted a Woodland Walk for Mushrooms event at Shoolman Preserve in Rochester. Bolete, russula, honey, ghost pipe, and cauliflower mushrooms were all spotted, along with countless others. Whether it be on the ground, on a waterlogged fallen tree, or up the side of a living host-tree, mushrooms seemed to be all about.
