Speaking on Humpback whales, Dr. Kavanagh covered several stages, including giving birth (tail first), and how male humpbacks shield the mother while she’s giving birth by creating a bubble-net screen. Spooktacular195 viewsThe Rochester Parent Teacher Organization hosted “Spooktacular” at Rochester Memorial School on Saturday. The event saw hundreds of students, their siblings, and other kiddos come give their Halloween costumes a trial-run and get some candy at a trunk-or-treat. Grange members displayed their talents in a variety of categories ranging from vegetable growing, photography, baking, crocheting and floral arrangements. Awards were given to first, second and third-place winners as well as the Judges Awards. Boy Scout Troop 31 assisted Grange members, headed by Chairman Herbert LaFleur and Secretary Susan LaFleur.
