Speaking on Humpback whales, Dr. Kavanagh covered several stages, including giving birth (tail first), and how male humpbacks shield the mother while she’s giving birth by creating a bubble-net screen. The event saw hundreds of students, their siblings, and other kiddos come give their Halloween costumes a trial-run and get some candy at a trunk-or-treat. Rochester Grange Fair 194 viewsThe Annual Rochester Grange Fair was held on August 20 for the 111th time! Grange members displayed their talents in a variety of categories ranging from vegetable growing, photography, baking, crocheting and floral arrangements. Awards were given to first, second and third-place winners as well as the Judges Awards. Boy Scout Troop 31 assisted Grange members, headed by Chairman Herbert LaFleur and Secretary Susan LaFleur.
