Mattapoisett Manatee32 viewsOn the morning of July 29, Erin Carr and five friends were on their morning run on the Mattapoisett Rail Trail when they stumbled upon a man (and dog) who directed them to a beached manatee. The gang got in touch with the Harbormaster and Mattapoisett Police, but before wildlife experts would arrive on the scene, the tide rose, and the manatee ventured back to sea.
