The June 1 commencement featured remarks from Superintendent of Schools Mike Nelson and Principal Mike Devoll and music from the school band. The group sent a card to a school in Mexico near the Oyamel fir forests of the Central Highlands to share a little information about Marion. Marion Natural History Museum 310 viewsOn a beautiful Saturday morning, the Nature Journaling group met with artist Tricia Cassady to learn about some techniques for journaling in nature. We took part in some exercises to loosen up and then had fun finding our own specimens to draw. We also had a chance to discuss our different experiences and have some laughs. The event saw hundreds of students, their siblings, and other kiddos come give their Halloween costumes a trial-run and get some candy at a trunk-or-treat.
