The event, hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club, saw over 100 competitors begin from Town Beach, swim 0.25 miles, bike 10 miles north of town and back, and finally run a 5K past Ned’s Point and back around to the beach. 82 viewsThe second of the bi-weekly rodeo was held at the Rochester Fair Grounds this past Saturday by New England Rodeo. Present were over 20 professional bull riders from New England, Latin America, and Brazil. There were also professional barrel riders and mounted shooters. There were some young cowboys and cowgirls who also gave it their best to stay on a bucking pony. Class of 202481 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian Jacob Hadley was introduced by Theodore Cecil, his cousin and chapter president of the National Honor Society. The June 1 commencement featured remarks from Superintendent of Schools Mike Nelson and Principal Mike Devoll and music from the school band. While ORR’s 153-member class was delirious upon the completion of the ceremony, the day’s loudest roar was reserved for the announcement of the diploma for the late Emma Whittaker. Photos by Mick
