Rochester Historical Commission 99 viewsThe commission donates and posts plaques to showcase the town’s architectural history. On December 17, Commission Chairperson Connie Eshbach and the members donated and mounted a plaque at the Grange, which joins the Rochester Women's Club, East Rochester Congregational Church and Town Hall as recipients of a plaque. The program is open to any Rochester owner of an older private home. The information on the criteria and ordering procedures are posted at townofrochestermass.com under Historical Commission.

Class of 202499 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian Jacob Hadley was introduced by Theodore Cecil, his cousin and chapter president of the National Honor Society. The June 1 commencement featured remarks from Superintendent of Schools Mike Nelson and Principal Mike Devoll and music from the school band. Rochester Fire Department99 viewsMembers of the Rochester Fire Department participated in full gear for Saturday’s, 3-mile Team Hero's Walk held at Fort Taber in New Bedford. In the department’s 10th year walking, the participants raised $8,500, the largest amount raised to date as they symbolized the extra weight of living with Multiple Sclerosis. In 2014, Deputy Fire Chief and Highway Surveyor Jeff Eldridge was diagnosed with MS after experiencing the pain of trigeminal neuralgia, a condition he continues to battle while serving the Town

Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball98 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional Unified Basketball team capped off its 2022-23 season with a 72-51 victory over Tri-Town Police officers at the high school. Try as they might, the local officers were unable to contain ORR’s Unified team, made up of special-needs athletes and partners who together played a fall schedule of games against other schools.
