Old Colony Regional Vocational-Technical High School Boys’ Basketball Team116 viewsThe Old Colony Regional Vocational-Technical High School boys basketball team developed a starting five that made the most of their senior year, going 18-2 through the regular-season schedule, capturing the State Small School Vocational title and advancing in the MIAA Division 5 state tournament before bowing to top-seeded, undefeated and eventual state champion Pioneer Valley. Marion Natural History Museum116 viewsMany thanks to Mike Cronin for sharing his rocketry expertise with our afterschool group. We learned about what’s needed for lift-off and propulsion, as well as how to add the “recovery wadding” and parachute to ensure the rocket doesn’t get damaged. The band, led by Music Director Tobias Monte, played music from kids’ movies such as “Happy” from Despicable me and many others. Marion Natural History Museum115 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's July Coastal Exploration group had a fun week exploring some of Marion's natural areas. We examined green frog tadpoles and a frog metamorphosis, were invited to explore Ram Island, visited the donkeys and learned about filter feeders, including some of the largest ones like whales.
