Marion Town Party217 viewsEllie O’Brien, 5, of Marion smiles down from the peak of a climbing wall, part of the fun children had at the Marion Town Party on August 27 at Silvershell Beach. Inflatable arcade games, cornhole, an informal football toss and an undefinable ball game inside a walled octagon kept kids running and laughing, while their parents and grandparents socialized over barbecue and beverages. Steve Denette217 viewsSteve Denette was raised on a farm in Western Massachusetts, surrounded by the wilderness, something he found both comforting and inspiring. Whether it’s leading month-long, wilderness courses, mountaineering in Yosemite or forging Class IV white water in an open canoe, Steve seems to have done it all. But one thing he’s yet to tackle is the art of sailing.
