Marion Natural History Museum241 viewsDuring our annual holiday party, the kids had a chance to use natural and recycled materials to make snow globes, flying bird mobiles, acorn people, and tree ornaments from shells and wood carvings. Polar Plunge241 viewsOn New Years Day, hundreds were arrayed at Mattapoisett Town Beach for this year’s Mattapoisett Polar Plunge. Since 2013, the beach has seen residents and visitors run into the freezing Atlantic to kick off the new year. The event is held by Keep On Plungin’ who, through the selling of baked goods, coffee, and hot chocolate, donate all proceeds of the fridged plunge to local families grappling with the costs of cancer treatment.
