Tri-Town firefighters278 viewsThe holidays were challenging for Tri-Town firefighters. Marion and Rochester fire departments were among towns assisting Wareham after a mulch pile in a remote location off County Road caught fire on Christmas Eve. Firefighters worked in cold temperatures for eight hours, dispensing approximately 200,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire. Community Block Party278 viewsIt was a party for all ages when the Rochester Council on Aging hosted a Community Block Party on June 22. Local 4-H clubs brought animals, while Rochester's Boy Scout and Cub Scout troops provided games that included a soft-ax throw and soft archery-challenge games.
