The December 18 event was a collaboration of the Rochester Land Trust and Plumb Corner Library. The storyboards along the trail tell the story of animals preparing for winter hibernation.

Spot283 viewsKevin Garell from Boston Dynamics brought a robot named "Spot" for a lively demonstration at Rochester Memorial School. With assistance from his son Gavin, Mr. Garell showed off some of Spot's "training" and capabilities. The demonstration was the culmination of a series of projects during which Grade 6 students took on a challenge from NASA to design robotic devices with specific functions. Grade 2 Basketball Playoffs283 viewsThe Grade 2 basketball playoffs brought out the best in March 10 action at Center School in Mattapoisett. The Warriors earned their spot in the championship game with a big, 10-2 victory over the Heat, while the Knicks advanced to the title game, narrowly edging the Celtics, 10-8. Mattapoisett Land Trust283 viewsOn May 6, volunteers from the Mattapoisett Land Trust planted over two dozen sunflower seedlings in a row along Route 6 at Dunseith Park, just in front of Salty the Seahorse. Don Cuddy donated the seedlings and organized the planting as a symbolic gesture of MLT standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. A parade began at the Dexter Lane baseball complex and made its way to Gifford Park, where ORYB’s David Arancio recognized the many years of service from Derek Mello, Peter Vieira and David Nelson, who all threw ceremonial first pitches.
