We learned about what’s needed for lift-off and propulsion, as well as how to add the “recovery wadding” and parachute to ensure the rocket doesn’t get damaged. The event, sponsored by the Rochester Fire Department, saw contestants build boats and race south along the Mattapoisett River. June in Bloom287 viewsNearing the fifth anniversary of the passing of Nolan Gibbons, Nolanfest 2025 was held at Silvershell Beach this past Saturday evening. Hundreds were in attendance to pay tribute, remember, and support local singers and musical artists. Over 20 different performances occurred at the stage, including The Showstoppers, of which Nolan was a member beginning in 2014 at the age of nine. The event was free but saw numerous donations to the Nolan Gibbons Memorial Fund which goes towards supporting artists through
