Paca Run250 viewsSeptember 25 found animal lovers of all ages visiting alpaca farms throughout the region in a game called “Paca Run.” Mattapoisett’s Pine Meadows Farm participated in the event, which included five farms where folks could pick up playing cards. At the end of the two-day event coinciding with National Alpaca Farm Days, the best “Hand” won prizes. Transported by the Rochester Fire Department on a journey that began at Fire Station No. 3 at 200 Ryder Road and accompanied by Santa’s helpers riding along in trucks, Mr. and Mrs. Claus made their way down many Rochester roads, spending hours to visit hundreds of children waiting at the end of their driveways and on street corners. The boys and girls invited their families to view all the amazing artwork they have created this year. The Pre-K class has spent the year traveling around the world, learning about different countries such as Italy, Portugal, Germany and Costa Rica. The children shared unique projects and interesting facts about each country with their families. It was nice to be able to invite families into school again. A
