Marion Natural History Museum253 viewsOn February 14, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group had a great time dissecting owl pellets. The students located skulls, both rodent and avian, and other assorted bones. After identification and close inspection under microscopes, these were then mounted on project boards to bring home. Bright blue skies graced the heavens while here on earth, children cavorted across Shipyard Park with seasonal tunes playing in the background like “Purple People Eater”.

Andrew Daniel, Rochester facilities manager who was instrumental in bringing the petition to Nelson’s attention, and Dexter’s sister Debbie Townsend both shared words with the packed house that turned out in Dexter’s honor.
