The band, led by Music Director Tobias Monte, played music from kids’ movies such as “Happy” from Despicable me and many others. Marion 4th of July Parade392 viewsMarion Town Administrator Jay McGrail and Select Board members Norm Hills, John Waterman, and Randy Parker walked the Independence Day parade route on Monday morning along with veterans, marching bands, Boy and Girl Scout troops, youth baseball teams, decorated floats, fire engines, and a convoy of antique cars. Rochester Fire392 viewsOccupants and their animals escaped an October 28 fire that destroyed their house on North Avenue in Rochester. One occupant of the residence was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Rochester Fire Department, which arrived eight minutes after the 12:39 pm call to address heavy fire and smoke in the attached garage, according to the department's report on its Facebook page.
