The event was sponsored by the Marion Recreation Department in partnership with Marion’s Police, Fire and DPW departments. Marion's Cushing Community Center257 viewsJunior and senior-year carpentry students from Upper Cape Regional Technical School are building a permanent canopy over the entrance walkway at Marion's Cushing Community Center, formerly the Benjamin Cushing VFW. With the help of the students, the town has been able to fund the materials needed without the associated labor. Halloween Parade257 viewsThe streets of Marion were flooded with Halloween Parade participants and attendees, as members of the Sippican Elementary School Band helped the “witches” of the Marion Art Center lead a procession that began at the Music Hall and went down Front Street, up Main Street past the Elizabeth Taber statue and onto Spring Street, where children were met at Town House by staff members handing out candy for the kids. The Summer Block Party event held on June 24 started inside the Music Hall due to weather but later moved outside. The event also featured faux archeology digs and face painting.
