Tri-Town recreation basketball League168 viewsWednesday, March 23 was finals night for the Tri-Town recreation basketball League. The league has players from all three towns and is run by Mattapoisett and Marion Recreation. Over 200 players registered this year for the three leagues.

Organic materials produced on the acreage were made into various ornamental and utilitarian items, allowing the grace and beauty of nature's bounty to shine through. Marion Firefighters Association168 viewsBill Bacchiocchi, Andrew Pottle, Shawn Alden and Marion firefighter Eli Arne engage in a spirited game of horseshoes at Silvershell Beach, part of Sunday’s tournament held to benefit the Marion Firefighters Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Attendees enjoyed the competition, antique trucks, live music from the band US, a craft beer garden and barbecue. Marion Natural History Museum168 viewsOn June 8, the Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool group enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ram Island in Marion. The students watched various crabs in the salt marsh, visited several of the occupied Osprey nests and walked the shoreline looking for shells. We also had the opportunity to visit Clara and Darcy, the Moore’s pet donkeys.
