Dan Crete and his family sought to add this one-of-a-kind addition to their home to be used as a gathering place for his friends and family using no nails, handmade pegs, a lot of manpower and a little bit of Yankee ingenuity. The day included bicycle safety information, a rodeo course and certificate awards for all participants. In addition, the Marion Police Department was awarded a statewide grant by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to provide 75 bicycle helmets during the event. Do-Si-Do in Marion590 viewsOn Sunday, September 14, the first of what is hoped to be an annual series of Marion Square Dances was held inside the Marion Community Center. Although initially slated to take place in the parking lot adjacent to the Marion General Store, the weekend’s rainy weather forced the event indoors.
