Empty Bowls409 viewsOn Thursday November 18, 2021, the Tri-Town community came together to support student artists and their activism to help neighbors in need. The Old Rochester Regional High School Art department hosted its second "Empty Bowls" event. This Fall, students in both Ms. Butler’s and Ms. Mogilnicki’s art classes designed and created ceramic bowls. On the night of the event, patrons made a donation and chose a one-of-a-kind, work of art for their soup.

Festival of Trees 409 viewsThe Festival of Trees opened on November 27 with a reception at the Cushing Community Center on Route 6 in Marion. Sponsored by the Friends of Marion Council on Aging, the event showcased 14 decorated Christmas trees, along with an artisan sale, music, refreshments and a raffle for over 10 gift baskets. Tinkhamtown Chapel Christmas Carol Singalong409 viewsSunday's participants in the Tinkhamtown Chapel Christmas Carol Singalong braved a dramatic, postsunset drop in temperature and enjoyed the warmth of a solo bonfire loaned to the event by Lee Heald. Gail Roberts led distributed sheet music and led in song with musicians Louise Anthony playing the fiddle and Jack Dean the ukulele. Roberts thanked the White family for providing refreshments, the Chapel committee for its effort in maintaining the chapel

Ned’s Point Birthday409 viewsThis past Saturday, Ev had her eighth birthday party at Ned’s Point lighthouse. The day was filled with kite flying and drinking tea with the added bonus of lighthouse tours. Joe Dawiki with the Coast Guard Auxiliary helped us arrange a tour. The kids had a blast and so did the parents. Ned’s Point Light needs restoration. I recommend your next party to be held there to shine light on the need and spread awareness.
