Solids will be processed to the northwest side of the concrete wall, right, and liquids in the larger area of the lagoon on the southeast side, according to DPW Director Nathaniel Munafo. A liner made up of over 30 pieces is on site awaiting final surface grading by Methuen Construction and the installation of a Multiflo infrastructural piping system.

Marion Village 5k Road Race325 viewsKim Bolick, 29, of Watertown finished first overall in 18:14 to win the Marion Village 5k Road Race that was held on June 25. Will Vrattos, 17, of Marion finished in 18:53 to edge 16-year-old Samuel Shrestha (19:00) of Dartmouth for third place overall and second among male finishers. Arts in the Park325 viewsThe Marion Art Center’s annual “Arts in the Park” event was greeted by a gorgeous weekend, as cars lined Marion’s streets and visitors strolled through Bicentennial Park, ducking into the shade of white tents to visit the many artisans and their goods. Marion Natural History Museum325 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum recently held a workshop on the many apps available to help people identify birds in the field. Justin Barrett, Nasketucket Bird Club president and museum board member, went over how best to use apps from Audubon, Cornell, Sibley and many others. We also learned how to record a bird or birds and have each one identified by call simultaneously. The museum wishes to thank Justin for his interesting presentation, and we look forward to our next walk
