Marion Lagoon282 viewsThe forebay wall is in place at Marion's Wastewater Treatment Plant lagoon. Solids will be processed to the northwest side of the concrete wall, right, and liquids in the larger area of the lagoon on the southeast side, according to DPW Director Nathaniel Munafo. A liner made up of over 30 pieces is on site awaiting final surface grading by Methuen Construction and the installation of a Multiflo infrastructural piping system.

Marion Village Stroll282 viewsCars lined several Marion streets as residents gathered for the town’s Christmas Stroll on December 12. Front Street and connecting village roads were partially closed for the event, as families enjoyed refreshments provided by area merchants at their doorsteps and along the roads. Clydesdale horses escorted Santa Claus and passengers, while the Sippican Elementary School Band played, Tabor Academy student singer Wesley Lai of Hong Kong sang, and a bike rider juggled bowling pins. Marion Natural History Museum282 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum wishes to thank Justin Barrett for the fun time we had last week learning about the importance of the Great Backyard Bird Count. The students were able to identify the many species including Starling (small flock), Mourning Dove, Juncos (good views), Cardinal, House Finch, House Sparrow, and American Crow. And they also found an old nest in a tree. After-school programs included "Monarchs" on March 2, and upcoming is "Fossil Hunting" on March 16. Check out our full list of

Marion Garden Group282 viewsFour times a year members of the Marion Garden Group gather to plant over 15 window box, planters and urns throughout Marion Village. Each year Spring is welcomed with a profusion of colorful pansies. This year members decided to dedicate their efforts toward indicating our support for Ukraine. “Pansies lend themselves easily to this sort of tribute” Suzy Taylor, Garden Group Vice President said. “We partnered with Eden’s to find the best shade to represent the blue.”

First Congregational Church of Marion 282 viewsThe First Congregational Church of Marion welcomed a group of enthusiastic and energetic children from Kindergarten to sixth grade to the church's Vacation Bible School held August 15-19. The children enjoyed a full, exciting week of creative projects, interactive Bible stories and lots of recreational games.
