Marion Village Christmas Stroll333 viewsDespite eventual rain, the Marion Village Christmas Stroll was enjoyed by many on Sunday afternoon. The event included musical entertainment by Tri-County musicians, Grades 4 and 5 bands from Sippican Elementary School, Sippican Historical Society carolers and Tabor Academy students, horse-drawn carriage rides, street entertainment, seasonal refreshments courtesy of area merchants, goodie bags from VASE, and crafts for kids. Marion Natural History Museum333 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's afterschool group had a chance to explore and map Ram Island with Dr. Michael Moore and Mrs. Hannah Moore this week. We investigated salt marshes and mapped osprey nests, found some horseshoe crabs and met some donkeys, chickens and friendly dogs on both our Wednesday and Thursday trips. Early this year, the town’s Community Preservation Committee recommended $28,000 in CPA funds to study the components of the lighthouse’s next renovation, a project that will go out to bid next winter and go before voters at the 2025 Annual Town Meeting.
