Food and music added to the festive atmosphere, and the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Claus (Mr. and Mrs. Milton Heuberger), Frosty the Snowman (Brian Hiller), one of Santa's reindeer (Ashling McLoughlin) and one of the big guy's most trusted Elves (Jen Scott) brought smiles and picture opportunities. North Atlantic Right Whales196 viewsInside a newly installed mural of a North Atlantic Right Whale across the back wall of the Marion Natural History Museum is the image of two North Atlantic Right Whales as photographed by Dr. Michael Moore while on an expedition. Tornado in Mattapoisett196 viewsAn EF-1 tornado touched down late Tuesday morning in Mattapoisett. The unusual weather event downed power lines and hundreds of trees, knocking out power to many homes north of Route 195. Television news crews descended from Boston, as the Mattapoisett Fire and Police departments worked with utility companies and many power lines to clean up roads and assist area residents coming home to frightening scenes.
