Marion Natural History Museum340 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum’s afterschool group had a terrific time constructing their own rockets for launching. This program was so popular it had to be offered twice! The kids had a hands-on introduction to the engineering principles of propulsion and lift. Every rocket managed a successful launch hundreds of feet in the air, and most were safely carried down by the parachutes. Bethany brought in some of her most adorable mammals, including a Fennec Fox (native to Africa), a Tenrec (native to Madagascar), a Hedgehog named Peter Quill, a Chinchilla and a skunk. This course on the paranormal is being hosted by Saint Gabriel's Episcopal Church. Father Eric Fialho, the rector of the parish, has developed a course which explores what the wider church believes about the topic of ghosts.
