The event included musical entertainment by Tri-County musicians, Grades 4 and 5 bands from Sippican Elementary School, Sippican Historical Society carolers and Tabor Academy students, horse-drawn carriage rides, street entertainment, seasonal refreshments courtesy of area merchants, goodie bags from VASE, and crafts for kids. Marion Natural History Museum345 viewsOn February 14, the Marion Natural History Museum afterschool group had a great time dissecting owl pellets. The students located skulls, both rodent and avian, and other assorted bones. After identification and close inspection under microscopes, these were then mounted on project boards to bring home. Debra Ewing showed photos of the "Terrapin Garden" she helped to create in her neighborhood in Marion. The students had many interesting questions about this species, which were answered by Debra and two volunteers from New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA).
