This year, on September 15, they went to "Sharing the Harvest Community Farm" at the YMCA of Dartmouth. The team worked hard in planting and preparing the fields for the next set of crops. Tornado in Mattapoisett437 viewsAn EF-1 tornado touched down late Tuesday morning in Mattapoisett. The unusual weather event downed power lines and hundreds of trees, knocking out power to many homes north of Route 195. Television news crews descended from Boston, as the Mattapoisett Fire and Police departments worked with utility companies and many power lines to clean up roads and assist area residents coming home to frightening scenes.
