Brad Hathaway245 viewsIt took 32 years, but on October 3 Mattapoisett resident Brad Hathaway completed his “Walk around the World” along Aucoot Road, accompanied by well over 100 friends and supporters of his mission refocused some years ago from what had begun as a fitness prescription to a fundraising effort for the Mattapoisett Land Trust. Hathaway, 88, is a co-founder of the MLT and has dedicated his life toward preserving and protecting lands that his ancestors first came upon hundreds of years ago.

Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run 244 views Sunday, May 4 was a perfect day for a fun run through Marion, and about 200 people turned out to participate in VASE’s second annual Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run to raise money for educational programs at Sippican Elementary School.
