368 viewsForty students from preschool to high school shared their version of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and “The Nativity Story” to a packed church on December 17 at the St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church 2nd Annual Christmas Pageant. They shared the true meaning of Christmas with music, joy and fun for everyone present! COA Art Exhibit368 viewsThe newest art exhibit at the Marion Council on Aging is both a sublime and exciting partnership between local schools and the COA. Works have been created by students from Sippican Elementary and Old Rochester Regional Junior and Senior high schools. Marion Natural History Museum368 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum’s after-school group had fun with hands-on inspections of some of our local amphibian species. We took a look at Green frog tadpoles, Wood frog and salamander egg masses. We also looked at some of our aquatic invertebrates, such as Water boatman, Caddisfly larvae and others that help by breaking down the leaves at the bottom of the pool and starting the forest food chain. First Congregational Church of Marion Summer Fair368 viewsThe First Congregational Church of Marion Summer Fair was held on July 27 with an effort to raise funds for the restoration of its clock tower. Main Street was closed to traffic so visitors could enjoy several booths full of goods for sale, along with sports equipment, while visiting the Penny Pinchers’ Exchange, a lobster roll or a burger or dog from the grill.
