The Lions were collecting non-perishable food and unwrapped new toys to distribute to those in need during the holiday. Library Treasures338 viewsWord spread of the Antiques Roadshow-style fundraiser at the Mattapoisett Library on March 29, attracting scores of South Coasters clutching their treasures, antiques, and heirlooms for appraisal and admiration, hoping Francis McNamee of the Marion Antique Shop might discover worth in their belongings beyond their sentimental value. Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run 338 views Sunday, May 4 was a perfect day for a fun run through Marion, and about 200 people turned out to participate in VASE’s second annual Sippican Schooner 5k and Mini Fun Run to raise money for educational programs at Sippican Elementary School. Beginning at Grandma Hartley’s Reservoir on Snipatuit Road, boaters paddled the almost 12-mile race route to Herring Weir at River Road in Mattapoisett. There were 65 teams in all.
