K. Gandhi led a non-violent quest for India’s freedom. Mr. Patel had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a picture holding a copy of The Wanderer. Witch Rock605 viewsThe writing on Rochester’s famous “Witch Rock” has received a fresh coat of paint just in time for the Halloween season. The legend of the great rock, located on private property at the corner of New Bedford Road and Vaughan Hill Road, speaks of a witch hanging at the site, and the native Indians are said to have believed that the spirit of a witch dwells inside the rock and one could hear her cackle and scream on nights of the full moon.
