Rochester Christmas Tree Lighting377 viewsRochester held its annual tree lighting on Monday night, December 7, in front of the Town Hall. Hundreds attended and greeted jolly old Saint Nick as he rode in on the town’s new yellow fire tower truck. New Year’s Eve Party377 viewsA New Year’s Eve party at the Rochester Senior Center gave area seniors the chance to ring in the New Year early in the company of friends. Guests enjoyed dinner and dessert followed by the sharing of New Year’s resolutions and non-alcoholic bubbly. ORR Lockdown377 viewsORR was in lockdown on Thursday, April 14, after the Mattapoisett Police Department received a call pertaining to a gunman at the school. According to Captain Anthony Days of the Mattapoisett Police, an out-of-state call center alerted them of an Internet chat about a person with a gun at the school.
