Lions Club Triathlon379 viewsUnder merciful overcast skies on July 15, the 37th annual Lions Club Triathlon found 115 participants including seven relay teams vying for first place bragging rights. Coming in 1st place in the men’s division was Brian Hughes with a time of 51:38 minutes. Osprey Marsh Accessible Boardwalk379 viewsDespite a downpour perfectly timed for its planned gathering on Friday off Point Road in Marion, the Sippican Lands Trust celebrated the completion of the new Osprey Marsh Accessible Boardwalk. Executive Director Jim Bride and president Alan Harris held a live Zoom meeting for those who could not attend, and some of the donors for the project assisted in the ribbon-cutting. The lone injury was a minor one for which a responding firefighter was later treated at Tobey Hospital and released. The fire also resulted in the total loss of a pickup truck parked outside. The festival featured live music and words presented by area and national contributors, along with video tributes and a fire show.
