Stayin’ Alive 350 viewsSurvival Week at ORR Junior High kicked off on the early morning of Sunday, June 17, as the 7th-graders boarded the busses for Western Massachusetts for a week of roughing it in the wild. And for this generation, that simply means no electronic devices and no Dunkin’ Donuts. Survival is now in its 46th year and still going strong. Some, like Survival leader Kevin “KT the Kilt Man” Thompson, have attended Survival since they were 7th-graders 30 years ago. Photos by Jean Perry

Hathaway, 88, is a co-founder of the MLT and has dedicated his life toward preserving and protecting lands that his ancestors first came upon hundreds of years ago.

Valentine’s Day Drive-thru350 viewsVolunteers distributed over 100 dinners during the Marion Council on Aging’s Valentine’s Day drive-thru event on February 13 at the Cushing Community Center. The dinners donated by Mike Crosby helped make up for the fact the town’s seniors were not able to enjoy Valentine’s Day quite like they did last year inside the building with music and dancing.
