Brad Hathaway350 viewsIt took 32 years, but on October 3 Mattapoisett resident Brad Hathaway completed his “Walk around the World” along Aucoot Road, accompanied by well over 100 friends and supporters of his mission refocused some years ago from what had begun as a fitness prescription to a fundraising effort for the Mattapoisett Land Trust. Hathaway, 88, is a co-founder of the MLT and has dedicated his life toward preserving and protecting lands that his ancestors first came upon hundreds of years ago.

Valentine’s Day Drive-thru350 viewsVolunteers distributed over 100 dinners during the Marion Council on Aging’s Valentine’s Day drive-thru event on February 13 at the Cushing Community Center. The dinners donated by Mike Crosby helped make up for the fact the town’s seniors were not able to enjoy Valentine’s Day quite like they did last year inside the building with music and dancing.
