FORM Concert 364 viewsThe tri-town FORM concert brought together students whose combined musicality entertained a full house. The performers sang song style selections from spiritual to jazz and the crowd pleaser “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Rochester Memorial School. Combining the voices of nearly 300 students the finale was a soulful treatment of “Wade In The Water”. Funds raised through FORM concerts support scholarships awarded each year to graduating seniors who have completed at least two full years in a school music program.

Library Treasures364 viewsWord spread of the Antiques Roadshow-style fundraiser at the Mattapoisett Library on March 29, attracting scores of South Coasters clutching their treasures, antiques, and heirlooms for appraisal and admiration, hoping Francis McNamee of the Marion Antique Shop might discover worth in their belongings beyond their sentimental value. On April 12, families gathered at Ned’s Point to celebrate Easter early with a traditional Easter egg hunt, sponsored by the Mattapoisett Lions Club. The Easter Bunny hopped over for a visit, giving children hugs and high-fives as parents scurried to take photos and comfort the smaller ones who were a little reluctant to approach.
